Smashing day with the guys at TDC. We elected to try some proper off piste and powder for the first time. Owain got us started quickly, ironing out the fundamental issues that we were having with powder so we were able to get going before helping us all individually with pointers and exercises. Most instructors tend to focus on the group as a whole, however, Owain focussed on our own individual incompetencies, which meant we were able to gain confidence and progress rapidly. Great day off piste and a big boost in skills which carried through into big improvements over the next few days. Good snowboard instruction is surprisingly rare in the alps so keen to get back over next year to really get my technique nailed down David Parsons
“Jonesy” has been shredding a snowboard since 1995. He started instructing in 2005 and has been doing back to back seasons all over the globe ever since.
